Giving Trump a two-year head start is a recipe for disaster. That’s obvious. But here’s the thing: you don’t have to wait. Stop Trump is a community that sees the threat Trump poses and is starting the work now to hold off the Trump Train.
Stop Trump is a community that’s dedicated to democracy, and sees Trump as a danger to the republic. The problem is – Trump has been fundraising since … well … forever. He’s going to have a massive war chest.
On the other hand, our nominee will need to go through a messy and expensive primary. So they’ll have spent all their funds just getting the nomination and have nothing to fight back with. In other words, they’re a sitting duck.
That’s where Stop Trump comes in. We’re a community of folks who chip in a little every month starting now so that after the primary when we send our community’s support to the nominee: right when they need it the most.
And we’re really a community. Members at $10/month or more are automatically invited to our Stop Trump monthly brown bag lunches, where we get together as a group and hear from guest speakers.
We believe in democracy.
We believe Trump is a threat to the republic.
We believe that the best way to hold Trump back is to support the Democratic nominee for President of the United States – no matter who that person is.
We believe that Trump doesn’t stand a chance if we harness the people power that has made the anti-Trump movement so effective.
And – most importantly – we believe that there are tens of thousands of people like you who share those values, that mission, and that goal: to defeat Trump in 2024 and save democracy.
About the Team
Jonathan Zucker
Jonathan Zucker is a political technology entrepreneur and campaign finance attorney. He was the first COO and second CEO of ActBlue.
He has also served at the DNC as National Director of Operations for Finance.
More recently, he has founded or advised several political tech start-ups, including Democracy Engine, It Starts Today, ruck.us, Rep’d and Crowdpac.
Michele Hornish
Michele is a lawyer, a highly sought-after communications consultant, and the Executive Director of It Starts Today.
She founded Small Deeds Done, a political action site featured in the New York Times bestseller Good And Mad: The Revolutionary Power of Women’s Anger.
Since 2017 she has focused on It Starts Today‘s state-based projects, culminating in the development of Blue Ohio.

Stop Trump is a project of It Starts Today, which specializes in helping the grassroots community make a massive impact through recurring small-dollar donations. It Starts Today has raised and distributed millions of dollars to Democratic nominees at every level, from President to statehouse.
What do I get as a member of Stop Trump?
First, you get peace of mind knowing that no matter what else you have going on, you’re doing something to Stop Trump. But you’re also part of a community of people who are doing the same thing. As a Stop Trump community, we get together for regular virtual lunches where we invite speakers to educate, inform, and motivate the Stop Trump movement. If you’re a $10/month donor or more, you’re automatically invited to the live events. Every donor has access to the recordings.
How do I cancel or change my contribution?
Easy! Just contact us at info@stoptrump.org at any time. We’re very approachable! (Creating the software application for those kinds of user-modifiable donations is very expensive, running in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. Our focus is on fundraising for Democratic nominees rather than fundraising for technology. It was a priority call of ours, and considering what we’re up against, we think it’s the right one.)
How does Stop Trump help the nominee?
The Democratic primary will probably be messy and expensive. That means that immediately after getting the Democratic nomination, our candidate will be cash-strapped and exhausted. That’s when s/he will need help the most – and that’s exactly when we time our support. By joining us now, you’re getting the benefits of a great community of people, while knowing that your contribution will be strategically timed to maximize its impact.
