Stop Trump Launches
PRESS RELEASE: October XX, 2022. Today, the same day that Donald Trump announced his candidacy for President of the United States, Stop Trump announced its launch.
Founded by political technology and fundraising expert Jonathan Zucker, the initiative will immediately begin crowdfunding for the 2024 Democratic nominee for president.
“We really don’t have time to waste,” explains Zucker. “Because Trump never stopped fundraising, he already has a significant lead. Letting that lead grow for another year or 18 months could be disastrous. Stop Trump is building a grassroots community of people who chip in a few dollars a month starting now. Those funds are then given to the Democratic nominee immediately after the Democratic primary, when our nominee needs them the most.”
Stop Trump comes on the heels of Zucker’s successful project Dump Trump, which used a similar monthly donation model to amass and distribute XXX,XXX in 2020.
Donald Trump Announces Presidential Run
Today, Donald Trump announced his run for president in 2024. The announcement does not come as a surprise, as Trump has been fundraising for his attempted return to the White House since leaving office (against his will) in 2021.
So far, his fundraising numbers have been impressive, with XXX,XXX,XXX raised in the XX quarter and XXX,XXX,XXX on hand.
Stop Trump, a new initiatve to build a grassroots movement and funding machine to counteract Trump’s support, launched on the same day.
